Chapter 6 – Set-up and Display (Results) Messages
Introduction
6.1 Introduction
The commands shown in this chapter perform the same functions as the menus and
menu options described in Volume 1, Chapters 5 and 6 of this documentation. In
this chapter command and its syntax are described alone. Refer to Volume 1 for a
description of the functionality of each command.
Since most commands have the same names as the menus described in Volume 1
(except that as commands the names are concatenated), you will be able to easily
see which of the interface commands carries out the same function as the menu by
the same name. In cases where the name is not exactly the same, the menu name
will also be provided in this chapter.
6.2 The Channel_1 Header
The syntax for the Channel_1? appears as shown in Fig.6.1.
This query allows you to read out the “channel-dependent” measurement parame-
ters which are currently set in the amplifier. As the 2525 is a single-channel ampli-
fier, “channel-dependent” parameters are simply those with a command syntax
which usually includes Channel_1.
Note: That channel-dependent parameters follow the Channel_1 header command
is an result of the 2525 being a member of a family of multichannel amplifiers. As
Channel_1 is the only option for the single-channel 2525, it can often be bypassed.
