2.1 General
In addition to the standard tool kit, special tools will be necessary for some operations. These tools will be supplied by the
manufacturer
Tools and special tools supplied by the manufacturer are illustrated and listed under “Standard and Special Tools”.
2.2 Test Conditions
Ambient temperature: 25°C ±5°C
2.3 Procedure
2.3.1 Appearance
1) Check labelling.
2) Check overall dimensions.
3) Check electrical connections.
Note:
For Type 4511-W-006, see Fig. 2 for specification of overall dimensions
For Type 4524-W-001, see Fig. 4 for specification of overall dimensions
2.3.2 Transducer Sensitivity Control
The transducer must be calibrated at a temperature around 25°C ±5°C.
This calibration operation will not only test the transducer, but also the measurement chain “transducer-cable-DMAU”.
Control process:
1) Dismount the transducer from its bracket. Do not disconnect the electrical cable.
2) Using Calibration Exciter Type 4294, mount the transducer with a “finger-tight” mounting torque (max. 0.5 Nm) directly onto
the calibrator’s vibration table as shown in Fig. 5.
For 4511 W006, use the mounting adaptor WA-1740
For the 4524W001, use the mounting adaptor WA-1732
