9. Transferring results to computer
This section assumes you have installed Type BZ5503 Utilities software for 2250-M on your
computer (if not, see the Installation Manual for the Utility software at:
http://www.bksv.com/downloads/2250/BZ-5503 Installation Manual - BR169414.pdf) and either software
Types 7815 Noise Explorer or 7820 Evaluator.
Results may be transferred using the USB communication link between the 2250-M and a
computer but it will be much easier and quicker to use a direct transfer from the CF- or SD-
memory card to a suitable card reader attached to the computer.
9.1 Transferring results directly from a memory card into the computer.
9.1.1 Ensure the software protection key (sometimes referred to as the “dongle” or “hasp” key) is
present on the printer port or USB port of your computer. You will need the key present
whilst transferring the results from BZ5503 software to 7815 or 7820 but it does not need to
be present after this process.
9.1.2 With your Type 2250-M switched off, remove the CF or SD memory card containing the
results of the measurements and the sound recordings.
9.1.3 Insert the memory card into the corresponding slot of the card reader in your computer.
9.1.4 The operating system should now recognise the presence of the memory card.
9.1.5 Start BZ5503 Utilities software for Type 2250-M.
9.1.6 Click on
(located top left).
9.1.7 Now you will be able to see all the results stored in that Archive section plus the new ones
stored on the memory card under a directory like this:
9.1.8 You will need to copy or move your results from the memory card into one of the
“Archives” in the top section. If this is the first time you have used the BZ5503 Utilities
software, you can create a new Archive for your MATRON-Light results as follows.
9.1.9 Navigate to the top of the Archive Explorer and locate the root of the directory as here:
.
9.1.10 Right click and choose
from the drop down list.
9.1.11 Type in the name of the new Archive as here:
