Note concerning Type 3109 and discontinued module Type 7533
Ground “floating” or “single-ended” (grounded to the chassis) is not selectable on input
channels. Grounding on module inputs is as follows:
Input/output module input sockets and the trigger signal inputs on the controller and sys-
tem module have floating ground references (100 Ω between signal reference and ground).
Cable-borne RF immunity is only guaranteed using an external connection from measur-
ing ground to the chassis terminal
The auxiliary signal input/output shield is grounded to the chassis (signals refer to chassis
and shield)
For clock in/out and sync. in/out on Type 7533, the shield is connected to chassis ground.
The coaxial LAN shield on Type 7533 is floating (100 Ω to ground)
