12.3 Simulating the Display
You can easily simulate the front panel display (on your laptop) to verify your display configuration.
Step Screen Capture
Complete your configuration.
Open the File menu and select Save as Simulator File.
Close all other MPS programs. Open the Simulator
Launcher.
Wait a few seconds… then select Open and select your
simulator file.
Note: The simulator runs in Full Screen mode. Use Alt-
Tab to navigate to other programs.
The simulation will begin to run.
Note: The simulator will show random values for all
signals.
Connect CMS (if desired)
You can also use the simulator file to view simulated data
in CMS. This allows you to verify your CMS Navigation
Path.
The simulator and the PI Adapter must be running on the
same computer.
The simulator IP address is 127.0.0.1.
