Connecting the cables to the TIC controller and the relays box
An extension has to be connected between the TIC controller and the turbo pump and
feed through the labyrinth of the D8 radiation safety enclosure, see next 2 pictures. Fur-
ther connections are the interface cable for the WRG (wide range gauge) and the vent
valve (which has to be installed in the TMP body). It is important to connect the red cable
to + and the black cable to – for proper operation of the vent valve.
The communication cable has to be connected between the TIC and the relays box. For
proper operation, the termination plug is very important. If not plugged, you will get a
warning message on the TIC and the status on the TIC is Sysi Inhibit, which forbids oper-
ation of the TIC and therefore starting of the pump.
