6.2 Mounting the Chamber to the Goniometer
All Anton Paar chambers discussed in this chapter have the same interface for mounting
them into the goniometer center. How to mount these chambers is described in the follow-
ing paragraph.

u It is assumed that the diffractometer is aligned before mounting the chamber.
1. Set detector and source to a large 2θ to prevent them from restricting installation.
2. Switch off mains supply.
3. Feed all necessary cables and cooling water supply through the labyrinth for
connecting them to the temperature chamber from the front of the goniometer.
4. Remove the present sample holder and insert the chamber mount into the central hole
of the diffractometer.
