´ This may take some minutes if the water bath has to he heated or cooled for a new
sample temperature
´ The example shows a heating chamber with Z-drive. It automatically corrects the
chamber height as function of temperature (height at 25°C is 1mm).
8. If this works successfully, you can start automatic measurements as described in your
Temperature Controller Manual and in the manuals for DIFFRAC.SUITE [4] and
WIZARD [5].
9. Check box to wait for temperature and humidity reached before starting the scan.
Every time the Corio water bath was switched off, leave it switched off for at least 20
seconds and then switch on again!
Without temperature dependent height correction, peak positions might be wrong for
temperature >25°C (alignment temperature).
Meaning of the CHC plus modes:
• Constant humidity: keeps the rel. humidity while changing the sample temperature.
This is a slow process because the water bath temperature has to be adapted.
• Set temperature and dry air flow
• Set temperature with rate
• Set temperature with rate and dry air flow
• Set temperature
• Set temperature and humidity
7.6 Alignment
All chambers discussed in this chapter can be aligned using the general method described
in chapter Adjustment of a Chamber on the D8 [}35].
