General
lnformation
?he
change
cycle
is initiated
by
sliding the
Off-
Man-On-Rej control to the
'Rej"
position,
then re-
leasing.
Atthestartof
the change
cycle,
the
tone arm
islifted
from
the
tone arm
rest
and
a record
drops to
the turntable.
The
size
of the record
determines
whether
the
tone
arm
will set
down in
the ?-,
10-,
or
12-inch
position.
The
tone
arm
is moved
toward
the
spindleand
the
needle
is then
lowered
into
the
lead-in
groove
of the
record.
When
the
needle reaches
the
end
of the music
grooves
and enters
the
fast finishing groove
at the end
,of
the
record,
the
tone
arm
movement
toward
the
spindle
accelerates
rapidly
to
actuate
the
velocity
trip
mechanism.
The
tone
arm is
lifted
and returned
to a
positionoverthetone
arm
rest,
and
the bottom
record
on the
spindle
drops into
playing
position
on
the turn-
table. Thetonearmreturns
to
a
Fosition
over the re-
cordand
the
needle is
lowered
into
the
lead-in
groove
of
the record.
Thepreviously
described
actiontakes place
each
time
the end
of a record
is
reached
until
the
last
te-
cordhasplayed.
At
this
time,
the
velocity
trip
mech-
anisminitiates
another
change
cycle
and the
tone
arm
is
returned
to the tone
arm
rest.
A
moment
later,
automatic
shutoff
occurs.
