To switch the squelch OFF temporarily:
Press and hold the LIGHT button for
about half a second. You will now hear any
background noise.
Release the LIGHT button to switch the
squelch back ON.
To switch the squelch OFF for longer
periods of time:
Press and hold the LIGHT button for more
than 5 seconds.
You will hear two beeps to indicate that the
squelch has been switched OFF and you
will now hear any background noise.
Release the LIGHT button and then operate
on the channel as usual.
To switch the squelch back ON, press the
CHANNEL + or – button, or press the LIGHT
button again for more than half a second.
