Make sure to securely attach the headlamp to the bicycle using the bracket and
adjust it in a way to prevent any blinding effect on the oncoming traffic. Align the
beam on the road at approximately 10 m distance. Securely attach the headlamp to
the bicycle using the bracket. Tighten the screws to prevent unintentional misalign-
ment of the headlamp. For fine adjustment use the 3 positions on the headlamp
casing.
Standlight function (plus)
The standlight function is always ready for operation and entirely maintenance-free,
working without batteries or rechargeable batteries. A minor amount of the energy
generated by the dynamo is stored in a condenser while riding. After approximately
3 minutes, the condenser is fully charged.
Automatic start-up function (senso)
A constantly running hub dynamo is required for a functioning automatic operation.
„Auto“ The headlamp and rear light are automatically switched on
in twilight and darkness.
„On“ The headlamp is shining permanently while in motion,
also in daylight, e.g. in fog.
„Off“ Lighting system is inactive. Standlight in the headlamp is off.

Enhanced safety: 8 sec. Automatic shutdown delay
The light/dark sensor (on “senso“/“senso plus“) switches off the headlamp with a pre-
determined delay of 8 sec. so that a temporary brightness (e.g. car headlights turned
up) will not cause immediate switchoff.
Connection to rechargeable battery: if you connect the headlamp to a rechargeable
battery at your own risk make sure to observe the correct procedure: i.e. current to
earth inlet and earth to current inlet. Maximum brightness is obtained at a voltage
range between 7.2 and 7.5 V (7.5 V must not be exceeded).
Overvoltage protection: Even in case of rearlight failure, damage to the electronic
system of the headlamp is excluded.
Note: the electronic systems of radio-controlled speedometers and the „LUMOTEC
Fly“ headlamp may interfere with each other. This interference can be reduced by
keeping the largest possible distance between the LED headlamp and the radio-
controlled tachometer.
Montage
Scheinwerfer am Fahrrad mit Halter sicher befestigen und so einstellen, dass der
Gegenverkehr nicht geblendet wird. Lichtkegel in etwa 10 m Entfernung auf die
Straße ausrichten. Schrauben so fest anziehen, dass der Scheinwerfer sich nicht
von selbst verstellt. Feinjustierung jeweils am Scheinwerfergehäuse (3 Stellungen)
vor nehmen.
Standlichtfunktion (plus)
Die Standlichtfunktion ist immer betriebsbereit, komplett wartungsfrei und funktio-
niert ohne Batterien oder Akkus. Während der Fahrt wird ein geringer Teil der Ener-
gie, die der Dynamo liefert, in einem Kondensator gespeichert. Nach ca. 3 Minuten ist
der Kondensator voll geladen.
Einschalt-Automatik (senso)
Voraussetzung für einen funktionierenden Automatikbetrieb ist ein ständig mitlaufen-
der Nabendynamo.
Schalter auf „Auto“ Bei Dämmerung und Dunkelheit schalten sich
Scheinwerfer und Rücklicht automatisch ein.
Schalter auf „On“ Scheinwerfer leuchtet permanent während der Fahrt, auch am
Tage, z.B. bei Nebel.
Schalter auf „Off“ Lichtanlage leuchtet nicht. Standlicht im Scheinwerfer ist aus.

Mehr Sicherheit: 8-Sekunden-Abschaltverzögerung
Der Hell/Dunkel-Sensor (bei senso/senso plus) schaltet den Scheinwerfer mit einer
Verzögerung von 8 Sek. aus, so dass eine kurzzeitige Helligkeit (z.B. aufgeblendete
Autoscheinwerfer) nicht zur sofortigen Abschaltung führt.
Anschluss an einen Akku: Sollten Sie den Scheinwerfer auf eigene Gefahr an einen
Akku anschließen, beachten Sie bitte, dass Sie den Anschluss „verpolt“ vornehmen
müssen, d.h. Strom an den Masseeingang und Masse an den Stromeingang. Die maxi-
male Helligkeit erhalten Sie bei einer Spannung zwischen 7,2 und 7,5 Volt (7,5 Volt
darf nicht überschritten werden).
Überspannungsschutz: Selbst bei Ausfall des Rücklichts ist nicht mit einer Schädi-
gung der Elektronik des Scheinwerfers zu rechnen.
Achtung: Die Elektroniken von Funktachos und Scheinwerfer LUMOTEC Fly können
sich stören. Eine Reduzierung der Störung erreicht man durch einen größtmöglichen
Abstand zwischen LED-Scheinwerfer und Funktacho.

Zum Anschluss an den Nabendynamo muss das vormontierte Doppelkabel verwen-
det werden. Kabel nicht abschneiden, nur auf erforderliche Länge kürzen. Nicht
das am Fahrrad vorhandene Dynamokabel ver wenden.
Das Rücklicht muss am Scheinwerfer an den Steckkontakten angeschlossen wer-
den. Schwarze Ader =
( (Strom), schwarz/weiße Ader = y (Masse). Auf einen
korrekten Anschluss – nur mit Doppelkabeln am Dynamo und Rücklicht – achten,
um einen Kurzschluss zu vermeiden.
Use the preassembled duplex cable to connect the headlamp to the hub dynamo.
Do not cut off the cable - just shorten it to the required length. Do not use the
dynamo cable already provided on the bicycle.
Make sure to connect the rear light to the plug contacts on the headlamp. Black =
( (current), black/white = y (mass). Ensure correct connection – with duplex cable
to the dynamo and rear light only – to prevent a short circuit.
