This document describes the Buydeem K640 Kettle, an electric kettle designed for household use, emphasizing safety, proper operation, and maintenance to ensure longevity and optimal performance.
The Buydeem K640 Kettle is primarily used for boiling water. Its core function is to heat water quickly and efficiently for various household needs, such as preparing hot beverages or cooking. The kettle is designed with user convenience and safety in mind, featuring an automatic shut-off mechanism once the water reaches boiling point.
Usage Features:
Before the first use, it is crucial to remove all packaging, labels, and accessories from both inside and outside the kettle. For initial cleaning, it is recommended to boil water two or three times and then discard it. The exterior of the kettle should be wiped with a dry cloth. A critical safety note for first-time use is to ensure that the electronic connectors on the bottom of the kettle and the power base are not exposed to water.
Quick installation involves adjusting the length of the power cord through the winding device located on the power base. Once the cord is adjusted, the kettle can be placed securely on its power base.
When using the kettle, follow these guidelines:
- Opening the Lid: To open the lid, simply pull the lid handle upwards.
- Adding Water: Ensure the kettle is not on its base when adding water. The water level should not exceed 1.7 liters, which is the maximum capacity. Overfilling the kettle can lead to boiling water splashing out. Conversely, if there is too little water, it may cause dry burning, which is detrimental to the appliance.
- Closing the Lid: After adding water, tightly cover the lid by pressing it downwards.
- Placing on Power Base: Place the kettle on a flat, clean, and heat-resistant surface. It is essential to use the exclusive power base provided with the kettle. Before placing the kettle on the base, ensure the bottom of the kettle is dry. Never operate the kettle when it is empty or without water inside.
- Plugging In: Once the kettle is properly filled and placed on its base, plug the power cord into a wall outlet.
- Starting Heating: Press the ON/OFF switch to begin the heating process. The switch indicator will illuminate, signifying that the kettle is active. The kettle is equipped with an automatic disconnection feature, meaning it will turn off automatically once the water has boiled.
Safety Precautions during Use:
- Always read all instructions before use.
- Avoid touching hot surfaces; use handles or knobs.
- To prevent fire, electric shock, and injury, do not immerse the cord, plugs, or any specific parts of the kettle in water or other liquids.
- Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug the kettle from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow it to cool before handling parts or cleaning.
- Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or if it malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. In such cases, return it to an authorized service facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.
- Using accessory attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock, or injury.
- Do not use the kettle outdoors.
- Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place the kettle on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
- To disconnect, turn any control to "off," then remove the plug from the wall outlet.
- Do not use the appliance for purposes other than its intended use.
- Scalding can occur if the lid is removed during the brewing cycles.
- A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce risks of entanglement or tripping. If an extension cord is used, ensure its electrical rating is at least as great as the appliance's rating, it is a grounding-type 3-wire cord if the appliance is grounded, and it is arranged to prevent draping over counters where it can be pulled or tripped over.
- Do not leave the product running unattended to prevent fire and other hazards.
- Do not put the electric kettle, base, power cord, or plug in water or any other liquid to prevent electric shock or short circuit.
- Children, the elderly, people with physical or mental impairments, and those without previous experience should use the product under supervision and guidance. Children are forbidden to play with the product.
- The product must be used alone with a grounded socket with a rated current of 12 A or more and a rated voltage of 120 V, 60 Hz. The plug must be fully inserted into the socket to prevent hazards including short-circuit or fire caused by overheating or burning of components due to poor contact. Do not use a universal socket.
- The electric kettle and power cord should be kept away from high temperatures, open flames, damp, smooth surfaces, or sharp edges to prevent device damage, malfunction, or fire.
- It is forbidden to use the electric kettle when your hands are wet or you are barefoot.
- The product is designed for household use only. The manufacturer is not responsible for consequences or faults caused by commercial use, unsuitable use, or failure to follow instructions.
- Always check the voltage displayed on the product specification label against the main voltage before use.
- The kettle must be used with its matching base only.
- Place the kettle on a flat, firm, and heat-resistant workbench.
- Ensure the top cover is correctly in place to prevent scalding.
- The kettle generates heat and steam during operation. Do not open the cover, touch or move the kettle, or get close to the steam outlet or other high-temperature parts to avoid scalding.
- Do not heat a closed container in the electric kettle to avoid explosion.
- Do not run the electric kettle above the maximum water level or below the minimum water level. Overfilling can cause boiling water to splash out, while too little water can cause dry burning.
- The electric kettle should be moisture-proof and anti-freezing; do not put it in the refrigerator.
- To avoid electric shock or fire, ensure the power supply is disconnected when the kettle is empty, not in use, being cleaned or moved, if components are damaged, or if the kettle has a fault.
- It is recommended to pour out water if the kettle will not be used for a long time.
- When disconnecting the plug, hold the plug and pull it out; do not pull or twist the power cord forcibly to avoid damage or leakage risk.
- Do not hang the power cord outside the edge of the table or workbench to avoid the kettle falling or tripping accidents.
