Text Messages
Messages are additional text
information that is being
broadcast by a station.
Press the INFO (information)
button to view the most recent
message.
If the whole message does not
appear on the display, parts of the
message will appear every three
seconds until the message is
complete.
You can also press the INFO
(information) button repeatedly to
scroll quickly through the
message.
Program Type (PTY)
This feature allows you to search
for stations with specific program
types.
The following program types are
available:
• POP (pop music)
• EASY (easy listening)
• TALK
• INFO (information)
• CLASSICAL (classical music)
• COUNTRY (country music)
• JAZZ (jazz music)
1. Press the MENU/SELECT
knob to display a list of pro-
gram types.
2. Rotate the MENU/SELECT
knob to scroll through the list
of program types. Press the
knob to select the program
type.
3. Use the MENU/SELECT knob
to select a program from the
available stations broadcasting
the selected program type.
