PORTABLE AUDIO DEVICE
A portable audio player such as an
MP3 player, iPod, PDA, laptop
computer (with microphone
output), or a cassette player can be
connected to the sound system to
play over the radio and speakers.
If your vehicle is equipped
with a CD changer:
Use the auxiliary input jack to
connect an iPod to the sound
system. See "Connecting a Por-
table Audio Device Using the
Auxiliary Input Jack" later in this
section for more information.
If your vehicle is equipped
with a hard disc drive:
Your vehicle is equipped with a
USB port and a special USB/
auxiliary input jack cable that
connects an iPod or an iPod
Nano to the sound system.
See "Connecting an iPod Using
the USB Port" later in this sec-
tion.
Connect other types of portable
audio players to the radio using
the auxiliary input jack.
CONNECTING A PORTABLE
AUDIO DEVICE USING THE
AUXILIARY INPUT JACK
Connect a cable with a 3.5 mm
jack from the portable audio play-
er to the auxiliary input jack locat-
ed in the center console storage
area.
AUX INPUT DEVICE (auxiliary
input device) will appear on the
display.
When a device is connected, the
radio automatically begins playing
audio from the device over the
vehicle speakers.
