DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS
LANE CHANGE ALERT WITH SIDE BLIND ZONE ALERT – While
driving, the system displays a warning symbol on the le-
or right-side mirror when a moving vehicle is detected rapidly
approaching or is in that side blind zone. e symbol ashes if a
turnsignal is activated when a vehicle has been detected on the
same side.
To turn the system on
or o, go to Seings >
Vehicle > Collision/
Detection Systems >
Lane Change Alert.
FRONT PEDESTRIAN
BRAKING – During day-
time driving below 50 mph,
the system can detect pedestrians directly ahead and displays an
amber indicator on the instrument cluster. When approaching
a detected pedestrian too quickly, a red alert ashes on the wind-
shield and the Safety Alert Seat pulses or rapid beeps sound (if
selected). e system may automatically provide hard emergency
braking or enhance the driver’s hard braking. Nighime and low-
visibility performance are limited.
To set to Alert and Brake, Alert, or O, go to Seings > Vehicle >
Collision/Detection Systems > Front Pedestrian Detection.
REVERSE AUTOMATIC BRAKING

– In detected potentially
imminent collision situations with some objects behind your
vehicle while in Reverse, the system can provide alerts and hard
emergency braking, if you have not already done so, to help reduce
the severity or help avoid collisions at very low speeds.
Press the
Park Assist buon on the instrument panel
center controls to turn Reverse Automatic Braking and Park
Assist on or o.
FRONT

AND REAR PARK ASSIST – During low-speed park-
ing maneuvers, the system provides “distance to closest object”
information on the Driver Information Center and the Safety Alert
Seat pulses or a beep sounds (if selected). When an object is very
close, the Safety Alert Seat
pulses or 5 beeps sound (if
selected).
