CD Player
The player can be used for CD, MP3, and DVD.
See DVD Player on page 3-16 for more information
about DVD audio and video.
When a CD is used, album name, artist name, name of
a song, genre name, etc. can be displayed. This is a
searched content from the Gracenote database of
the HDD.
With the ignition on, insert a CD partway into the slot,
label side up. The player pulls it in and the CD should
begin playing. While playing a CD, the navigation system
is available. If you insert a CD with the system off and the
ignition on, it starts to play.
When you insert a CD, Gracenote logo display starts
with the Gracenote database access and the CD tab
activates.
If the ignition or radio is turned off while a CD is in the
player, it stays in the player. When the ignition or
radio is turned on, the CD starts playing where it
stopped, if it was the last selected audio source.
As each new track starts to play, the track number
displays.
The CD player can only play the full-size (12 cm) CDs.
If an error appears on the display, see “CD Messages”
later in this section.
If viewing a map screen, touch the CD screen button.
The display splits between the audio screen and the map
screen. If no split screen is wanted or if not on a map
screen, press the AUDIO key then press the AUDIO key
again until CD is selected or touch the CD screen button.
