4. Start and run the engine for at
least 30 seconds.
Stop/Start System
If equipped with the Stop/Start
system, the engine will not engage
auto stop after the battery is
disconnected. After reconnecting the
battery, the vehicle must sit
untouched for four hours. See “Auto
Stop/Start” in Starting the Engine
0 191.
This vehicle has an Absorbed Glass
Mat (AGM) 12-volt batter y.
Installation of a standard 12-volt
battery will result in reduced 12-volt
battery life.
When using a 12-volt batter y charger
on the 12-volt AGM batter y, some
chargers have an AGM batter y setting
on the charger. If available, use the
AGM setting on the charger, to limit
charge voltage to 14.8 volts. Follow
the charger manufacture’s
instructions.
Vehicle Storage

Infrequent Usage: Remove the black,
negative (−) cable from the batter y to
keep the battery from running down.
Extended Storage: Remove the black,
negative (−) cable from the batter y or
use a batter y trickle charger.
All-Wheel Drive
If the vehicle is equipped with
All-Wheel-Drive (AWD), this is an
additional system that needs
lubrication.
Transfer Case
When to Check Lubricant
It is not necessar y to regularly check
the transfer case fluid unless a leak is
suspected or an unusual noise is
heard. A fluid loss could indicate a
problem. Have it inspected and
repaired.
