Remember to always disconnect battery ground before working on a vehicle’s
electrical system
• First,the+12V(BATT)terminalisconnecteddirectlytothebatteryofyourcar.Useacable
ofatleast5mm2(16AWG),andmakesurethattheconnectorsareofthesamevalue.
• Second, the ground terminal (GND) must be fastened securely to the chassis of the
vehiclewiththesamegaugecableasthepositivecable(thesameamountofpowerhas
torunthroughit).Ensurethatallpaint,undercoatingoranyotherinsulationisremoved
fromtheareawhereyouwanttomakeyourgroundconnectionto.
• Third,thelastcabletoconnectisyourremoteturn-on(ONorREM).Manyradio-cassette
and CD-players have an output terminal for connection of the Remote turn on of a
amplifier.Ifyoudon’thavesuchanoutput,aseparateswitchmustbeinstalledtocontrol
youramplifiersON/OFFfunction.

Thenexttoconnectisyoursignalinput.UseeithertheLineinputortheHighPowerinput(if
yourhead-unitdoesnothaveaLineoutput).Payattentionwhichpolarityandwhichchannel
(leftorright)youareconnecting.Alwaysconnectthe+toa+,andthe–toa-.
Never use the Line input and the HIGH Power input at the same time. Serious damage

Onceyouhaveconnectedyourpowerandsignalinput,itistimetoadjustthecrossoverand
inputlevelfortheexperttuningtogetyourownpersonalsound.
aDjustingthEactivEvariablEcrossovEr:
Togetyourpersonalsound,youcanadjustthebuilt-inactivevariablecrossoverfrom40Hz
to250Hzat12dBperOctave.Allthoughtheperfectadjustmentvarieswitheverypieceof
music,ageneraladjustmentforthekindofmusicyoulistento,canbearchiefed.Sodon’t
hesitatetoplayaroundwiththiscrossover.
aDjustingthElEvElinput:
1. Setyourleveladjustmentattheminimumsensitivity.
2. Adjustthevolumecontrolofyourheadunit(Radio/cassetteorCD-player)toapproximately
3/4volume.
3. Turn yourleveladjustmentclockwiseuntilyou hear the amplifierbegintodistort.The
amplifierofaBCTTube“clips”verysoftly,sothiscansometimesbeadifficultadjustment.
