introduction
• The HS Panel Mount reader operates with KMS Sharktooth HS dual and HS Mifare Tokens.
• It connects to the KMS Simplekey 4 and Simplekey 3 systems and also operates with other manufacturers’
access control systems.
• We recommend intruder alarm type cable. This should be unshielded multi stranded 0.22mm sq. The maximum
cable run between the system door controller and the reader is 100m using this cable.
• If Cat5 or CW1308 is used a minimum of one pair to be used for +ve and -ve. Additional cores may be required
for longer cable runs.
• Use single cores for the SIG and LED signal connections.
• The HS Panel Mount reader is designed to t within any door entry panel no thicker than 2mm with the industry
standard cut out of 40mm x 40mm.
• The slim line stainless steel surface enclosure is available where surface mounting is required.
• Readers must be a minimum of 300mm apart
