Change the binding edge
Introduction
The binding edge determines whether the binding position is along the long edge or the short
edge of the media. The binding edge is usually set via the printer driver, for example. However,
you can view and change the binding edge via the control panel. The binding edge has a relation
with the direction of the margin shift, orientation and staple position.
When the binding edge is changed for two-sided printing, the image orientation is automatically
adjusted to get the correct layout. The orientation of the image on the back side of the page will
be changed too.
NOTE
You cannot change this setting for the active print job
.
Procedure
1.
On the control panel, touch [Jobs] -> [Queues] -> [Scheduled jobs] or [Waiting jobs], or select a
DocBox.
2.
Touch the job you want to change.
3.
Touch [Edit], or double-tap the job to open the [Edit] window.
4.
Touch the [Binding edge] button.
5.
Touch the desired value.
6.
Touch [OK].
