  If your Cansec Card Reader isn't recognizing cards or tags, there could be several reasons. First, power down the reader and access panel, and then check the wiring to ensure it's correct. Also, measure the voltage at the reader; it should be between +5 VDC and +14 VDC. The issue might also be due to electromagnetic interference, so try moving the reader away from other electronic devices. Finally, ensure you are using a card that is compatible with the reader.
