FAN PERFORMANCE (SI) — VERTICAL DISCHARGE UNITS (cont)

NOTES:
1. Boldface indicates field-supplied drive required (see Note 3).
2. indicates field-supplied motor and drive required.
3. Factory-shipped drive range is 11.50 to 15.00 r/s. Other r/s’s may
require a field-supplied drive.
4. Values include losses for filters, unit casing, and wet coils.
5. Extensive motor and electrical testing on these units ensures that
the full range of the motor can be utilized with confidence. Using
your fan motors up to the kW ratings shown will not result in
nuisance tripping or premature motor failure. Unit warranty will not
be affected. See Evaporator-Fan Motor Performance table on
page 30 or additional information.
6. Use of a field-supplied motor may affect wire sizing. Contact your
Carrier representative to verify.
7. To convert kW to bkW:
BkW = kW x Motor Efficiency
Motor Efficiency: .83 Maximum Continuous kW: 2.12
8. Interpolation is permissible. Do not extrapolate.
9. Static pressure losses (i.e., economizer, electric heater) must be
added to external static pressure before entering Fan Performance
table.
