On/Off Button and [3]
The unit is switched on and off by pressing the
O
N/OFF BUTTON. The -symbol [3] will appear on the
display.
Water full indicator light (c) and
[5]
When the water container is full, the
WATER CONTAINER
FULL indicator light (c) will illuminate (the display will
show [5]) and the unit will automatically shut off.
It will also beep several times to advise you that the
container is full. See instructions for emptying the
water container.
The
WATER CONTAINER FULL indicator light will also
illuminate and the unit will beep if the water
container has not been inserted properly or if it has
been removed. Once the water container is emptied
and replaced correctly, the unit will re-start.
Relative humidity setting [1] and [3]
The display on the control panel indicates the actual
relative humidity level in the air.
As soon as the unit is switched on by the O
N/OFF
BUTTON, the indicator CONT will come on and the unit is
automatically set on continuous running.
By depressing the or
BUTTON, you can choose
from a range of relative humidity settings [1].
Generally, we feel most comfortable when the
setting is between 50% – 60%. Select your preferred
humidity level and the unit will run until the moisture
in the room reaches the desired level. From then on it
will cycle on and off to maintain the level chosen.
If
CONT is selected, the dehumidifier will run
continuously irrespective of how dry the air becomes.
Comfort dehumidify [a] - idealday 23 only
Repeatedly pressing the or
BUTTON scrolls round
the setting (see [1])
CONT to 50% 60% 70% 80% and to
COMFORT HUMIDITY. In this last mode the comfort mode
indicator light [a] will illuminate.
The relative humidity level maintained by the comfort
mode is related to the room temperature:
- below 20 °C the RH will be set to 60%;
- between 20 °C and 27 °C the RH will be maintained
between 50% and 60%;
- above 27 °C the humidity will be kept at 50%.
Fan Speed Control
The dehumidifier features a two speed fan control.
As soon as the unit is switched on, the fan will
automatically start running in low speed, indicated by
the
-symbol [2] on the display.
By depressing the
SPEED BUTTON, you can switch
back and forth between high fan speed [2] for
fast operation and low fan speed [2] for quiet
operation.

24 hour clock [B] time setting procedure.
Press the
TIMER BUTTON for 2 seconds. The 2 digits on
the left will blink indicating that the hours setting can
be changed. Repeatedly press the or
BUTTON
until the correct hour is shown.
Press the
TIMER BUTTON, the 2 digits on the right will
blink indicating that the minutes setting can be
changed. Repeatedly press the or
BUTTON until
the correct minutes are shown.
Press the
TIMER BUTTON, the time is now set.
CLOCK
ON-timer – when the unit is OFF
To set the time when the unit must start – in the
mode it was last running in.
Press the
TIMER BUTTON whilst the unit is off. The 2 digits
on the left will blink indicating that the hours setting
can be changed. Repeatedly press the
or
BUTTON until the required hour when the unit is to
start (“come on”) is shown.
Press the
TIMER BUTTON, the 2 digits on the right will
blink indicating that the minutes setting can be
changed. Repeatedly press the
or BUTTON until
the required minutes are shown.
The indicator light
TIMER [b] and the ON on the
display [4] indicate that the
TIMER ON has been set.
OFF-timer – when the unit is ON
To set the time when the unit must stop running.
Press the
TIMER BUTTON whilst the unit is on. The 2 digits
on the left will blink indicating that the hours setting
can be changed. Repeatedly press the or
BUTTON until the required hour when the unit is to
stop running (“go off”) is shown.
Press the
TIMER BUTTON, the 2 digits on the right will
blink indicating that the minutes setting can be
changed. Repeatedly press the
or BUTTON until
the required minutes are shown.
The indicator light
TIMER [b] and the OFF on the display
[4] indicate that the
TIMER OFF has been set.
ON/OFF will indicate if one or both timers are set.
Press the TIMER BUTTON twice to enter a second timer
setting and follow the same procedure as above.
After 20 seconds the timer
ON/OFF indicators will
illuminate and the 4-digits display will show the
actual time. The unit will now automatically come
on and go off at the set times, until the timer
programming is cancelled.
Cancelling the timer programming When the
TIMER
BUTTON is next pressed, the timer programming is
cancelled and the timer on/off indicators will go out.
