Alternatively, if you have a serious problem in one
area you can begin by positioning the dehumidifier
close to this area and later moving it to a more
central point. Do not place directly against a radiator
or other heat source.
For the most efficient use, outside doors and
windows should be kept closed when the
dehumidifier is operating.
When positioning your dehumidifier, ensure that it
is placed on a level surface clear of any obstacle that
may limit the air movement. Leave at least 50 cm
between the front of the unit and anything that may
affect the air movement. Do not cover it in any way.
Your dehumidifier is fitted with two front castors and
two large integrated back wheels for easy movement
including up and down stairs.
If you move the unit, it should first be switched
off and the water container emptied. A cable tidy
is conveniently located at the back of the unit for
storage of the cable when the unit is not being used.
Important: the idealday 18/18H/23 is not suitable
for use in bathrooms and other similarly wet areas. It
must be installed in accordance with national wiring
requirements.
Your dehumidifier draws in air through the front
panel onto a refrigerated cold grill. As the air passes
over a cold surface, moisture condenses and collects
into a front loading removable high capacity 7-litre
water container. The drier, slightly warmer air is then
expelled back into the room through the front upper
grill.
The dehumidifier fights condensation, mould and
dampness throughout the house, and is also great for
drying the laundry!
Save energy: did you know it takes less heat to warm
dry air than damp humid air!
Your dehumidifier will begin to protect your home
from the harmful effects of excessive moisture as
soon as it is turned on.
Excessive moisture will travel throughout your home,
in the same way that cooking smells spread to every
room in the house. For this reason, the dehumidifier
should be positioned in a central and clear location
so that it can draw this moist air from all over the
home. A warm hallway or landing is an excellent
position for your dehumidifier. If possible, leave
interior doors partly open.
