When the water container is full the WATER FULL
indicator light will illuminate (on idealday 18H and
idealday 23 the display will also show [5]) and the
unit will automatically shut off.
Wait a few minutes to allow the water to finish
draining into the water container.
To remove the water container, disconnect from the
mains, pull the lower front panel forward. Pull out
and lift the water container by the handle and carry it
away for emptying.
Gently replace the container and close the lower front
panel. When the tank is properly inserted, both the
hole and the float mechanism in the container will be

HEAT mode
The 800W fan heater in the idealday 18H is activated
by depressing the
HEAT BUTTON, the -symbol [6] will
show. In heat mode the fan speed is always high.
To activate the heater without dehumidification,
select first 80% RH before pressing the
HEAT BUTTON,
the compressor will stop and the heater will run with
high fan speed.
The heater should not be used when the room
temperature is above 21 °C. The heater will
automatically cut off above 25 °C.
The unit will discharge warm air from the top of the
grill, making it effective in drying damp items.
To avoid possible damage and the risk of fire leave
at least 1 m gap around the unit when the heat
mode is active.
HEAT mode (idealday 18H only)
Defrost Control
Your dehumidifier is equipped with an intelligent
defrost system which has an automatic de-icing
mode to defrost the cold coil on which ice forms
during low temperatures or low humidity operation.
The defrost system will switch the compressor off
and on periodically according to the condition of the
cold coil and the room air temperature. The fan will
operate continuously.
Please remember that this dehumidifier is not to
be used in temperatures below 5 °C.
Important:
If the dehumidifier is switched off and immediately
switched on, e.g. when the modes are being changed,
it will take about 3 minutes before the compressor
will start working again.

In most cases you will see a reduction in condensation
within a few days. In severe cases, however, it may
take several weeks to remove sufficient moisture to
maintain an acceptable humidity level.
The
POWER light will come on when the unit is
plugged into a live mains socket and the humidistat
is in a position that activates the unit.
VENTILATOR
This dehumidifier features a two-speed fan control.
Turn the control to H
IGH for fast operation. For quieter
operation turn the control to LOW.
WATER CONTAINER FULL
When the water container is full, the WATER FULL
indicator light will illuminate and the unit will
automatically shut off.
See instructions for emptying the water container.
The
WATER FULL indicator light will illuminate if the
water container has not been properly inserted or if it
has been removed.
ON/OFF switch and
HUMIDITY CONTROL
The idealday 18 is equipped
with an On/Off switch and
adjustable humidistat in one
control.
When you first use the unit,
turn the humidistat control
clockwise, all the way to
M
AX.
In this position the
dehumidifier will switch
on (
POWER light) and run
continuously regardless of
the humidity level.
Allow the unit to operate this way until a comfortable
level of humidity is reached. At this point, slowly turn
the humidistat control anti-clockwise until the unit
switches off. The dehumidifier will now automatically
maintain the humidity at this level.
To switch off the unit, turn the humidistat control
anti-clockwise to OFF.
