Space RH sensor
• On an interior wall
• Approximately 5 feet (1.5 meters) from the floor, beside the space temperature
sensor
• At least 4 feet (1.2 meters) from any corner. Reduced airflow in corners results
in erratic sensor readings.
• Vertically so that the Carrier logo is correctly oriented
Do not mount the sensor:
• In drafty areas such as near heating or air-conditioning ducts, open windows, or
fans
• Over heat sources such as baseboard heaters, radiators, or wall-mounted light
dimmers
• In areas of excessive moisture, corrosive fumes, or vibration
Sensors mounted in these areas will produce inaccurate readings.
NOTE The sensor mounting plate accommodates the NEMA standard 2x4 in.
standard single gang electrical box. However, the sensor can be mounted directly on
the wall surface if local codes permit.
