Adieselparticulatelter(DPF)isadevicedesignedtoremovepollutingdieselengineparticulatefromexhaustgas;
whenclogged,itneedstoberegenerated.
Thedieselparticulateltercanberegeneratedautomaticallyorbyforcing.
Theregenerationprocessissignaledtotheoperatoronthecentralmonitorofthedashboardandwithanacoustic
signal.Theindicationisnecessaryforthepurposesofsafetytowarntheoperatoraboutthehighexhausttemperature
reachedduringtheprocess.
Theautomaticregenerationshallnotaffectengineperformance.Duringtheprocedure,theoperatorcancontinue
workingnormally.
Undercertainoperatingconditionsautomaticregenerationmightnotbecompleted(enginecontinuouslystoppingand
starting,lengthyperiodsatidlespeed)anditmustthenberepeated.
Thestartofautomaticregeneration,ifset,ishighlightedwiththefollowingwarninglightblinkingonthe
dashboardandthesamesymbolappearsevery5minutesonthecentralmonitorwiththeword“ON”
combinedwithasinglebeep.Onconcludingtheoperationthesymbolappearswiththeword“OFF”.
Whenthelevelofsootexceedsacertainlevel,theelectroniccontrolunitasksyoutoproceedwithmanuallter
regeneration.
NOTICE:Ifthelterisnotregeneratedwhenrequired,whethermanuallyorbyforcing,thefunctionalityofthelteris
impaired.Continuingtoignorethisrequest,besidesgreatlyreducingenginehorsepower,damagestheltertosuch
anextentthatitisnecessaryforthedealertoreplacethelterwithanewone.
