important Battery Precautions
Incorrectly using batteries can cause them to burst or leak, possibly damaging the interior
of the unit. Note the following precautions:
¢ Be sure that the positive @ side of the battery is facing up (so you can see it) when
you install it in the calculator.
¢ Never leave a daad battery in the battery compartment. A dead battery can leak and
damage the calculator if lett in the battery compartment for long periods.
e Remove the battery if you do not plan to use the unit for jong periods.
* Never try to recharge the battery supplied with the unit.
e Never expose batteries to direct flame or intense heat.
Keep batteries out of the reach of smail children. If swallowed, consult with a
physician immediately. ,
