Use toggles at both ends of the forestay to prevent bending stresses.
Ensure pins are replaced, threads engaged, furler rotates freely, and clearance is adequate.
Avoid winching jams/snarls, flip unused halyards aft, and correct any furling difficulty.
Not for use with masts not fixed vertically; avoid low clearance obstructions.
Measure forestay pin-to-pin and cut luff 12.25" shorter.
Thread internal halyard through the halyard top fitting and luff extrusion.
Pass decored line through luff extrusion groove and slide ferrule down.
Fit halyard top over luff, secure with locking screw, ensure correct halyard exit.
Pass forestay, secure with wire, and screw on turnbuckle body.
Slide furling drum over luff, aligning sail feed slot with tack anchor shackle.
Screw T-bolt, adjust length, replace pins, and install luff support pin.
Pass furling line through cup and drum flange, tie knot to prevent escape.
Step mast, attach forestay to chainplate, and tension rig.
Do not mount above turnbuckle; shorten stay or use link plates to raise.
