Shifting gears with the engine speed above idle or while the vehicle is moving could cause transmission damage.
To change gears, stop the vehicle, and with the engine idling,
,
move the lever to the desired gear. Push the
brake pedal before attempting to shift into reverse or park. Whenever the ATV is left unattended, always place
the transmission in the PARK position. Maintaining shift linkage adjustment is important to assure proper
transmission function. See your dealer if you experience any shifting problems.
CAUTION
Belt Life
To extend belt life, use low forward gear in heavy pulling situations and when operating at less than
7 miles per hour (11 kilometers per hour) for extended periods of time. If
towing the vehicle is necessary, shift the
transmission into neutral for better mobility and to prevent damage
to the belt.
