Basic Controls:
The (UP) and (DOWN) arrow buttons (on the control box or remote control)
will move the drive unit/antennas position from 0° to 360° (+/-5°).
Alternatively, the number keypad on the remote control will allow you to move
the drive unit/antenna to a specific location using a 3 digit compass location.
Example: Enter 090 on the remote control number keypad for 90° (East), 180 for
180° (South), 225 for 225° (South-West)
Programming Preset Locations:
The Control box can be programmed to store up to 36 preset location
numbers (01-69) that the drive unit will move to when the preset location
number is selected. To program a preset location, first move the drive unit
using the up or down arrows to the location/position you would like to program.
To save this location as preset location 01, PRESS 01 UP 01 on the remote control to
save the location. To save another location as preset location 25, move the drive
unit to the new location and then PRESS 25 UP 25 on the remote control to save
the location. You can continue this process to save up to 36 different preset
locations. (Common Use Case: User will match preset location number the same
as a TV channel number. Example: Preset location number 12 saved as the antenna
position for TV channel 12.)
Using Preset Locations:
Once preset locations are programmed you can move the drive unit/antenna
directly to the saved positions by entering the preset location number on the
remote control. To move the drive unit/antenna to a preset location, enter the
two digit preset number on the remote control keypad. Example: To move to
preset location 25, press 25 on the remote control and you will notice the control box
display with flash “c25” and will start moving the drive unit/antenna to the
preset location. The display will show the compass location as it is moving and
will display a steady “c25” when it has arrived at the preset location.
Verifying Preset Locations:
To verify which preset location numbers are currently saved, press 99 UP on the remote
control then observe the display on the control box. Each programmed location is shown,
followed by its digital compass location. When installed correctly the digital compass
numbers will correlate to North (000), East (090), South (180), West (270) and back to
North (360).
Factory Reset:
To perform a factory reset and delete all of the preset locations, press 91 DOWN on the
remote control keypad. (ALL memory locations will be deleted.)
Synchronizing the control box with the drive unit/antenna:
After extended periods of use the control box and the drive unit may become out
of sync. To re-synchronize your control box with the drive unit, press the SYNC button
on the control box or press “00 DOWN” on the remote control keypad. (If the SYNC
does not correct the out of sync issue, the antenna or drive unit may be misaligned
on the mast. Realign the drive unit and the antenna so that they are both facing
north as shown in the installation instructions.)
Auto-Sync Feature:
To help keep your drive unit and control box consistently in sync, the control box can be
set up to perform a sync automatically after 50 preset moves.
To turn on the Auto-Sync feature, press “98 UP” on the remote control keypad.
To turn off the Auto-Sync feature, press “98 DOWN” on the remote control keypad.
To check if the Auto-Sync feature is off or on, press “99 UP” on the remote control keypad
and observe the control box display to see if it reads “SYn ON” or “SYn OFF”.
Auto-Sleep Feature:
The control box has a default “Auto-Sleep” feature which will turn the control box off
after 8 minutes of no activity.
To turn the Auto-Sleep feature OFF, press “97 DOWN” on the remote control keypad.
To turn the Auto-Sleep feature ON, press “97 UP” on the remote control keypad.
Universal Remote Control:
The control box can be programmed so that it can be controlled by many types of
third party universal remote controls that support either Pioneer brand cable boxes
or Pioneer brand CD players. (Universal remotes compatible with Pioneer cable box codes
will require the control box to be in reception mode HH1 and Universal remotes compatible
with Pioneer CD player codes will require reception mode HH2.)

Country Power Mode: (USA & International)
The control box default setting is USA Mode but it can also be configured
to work for locations outside of the United States. USA Mode will support
a 60Hz voltage supply. International Mode will support a 50Hz voltage
supply. To change the Country Power Mode see chart below.

Troubleshooting:
Control Box is Warm or Hot:
The control box is not designed to be used continuously for periods longer than
10 minutes at a time. If the unit is warm because of continuous use, stop for at
least 30 minutes to allow cool down before using again.
Remote Control Does Not Work:
Replace the batteries.
Make sure you are pointing the remote directly at the control box display window.
If an object is in front of the control box display window it can block the signal from
the remote control. Make sure that you have clear line of sight between the
control box display and the sensor on the front of the handheld remote control.
Drive Unit is Out of Sync:
Run the synchronization function by pressing the sync button on the front of the
control box. If the synchronization function does not correct the out of sync issue,
the antenna or drive unit may be misaligned on the mast. Realign the drive unit
and the antenna so that they are both facing north as shown in the installation
instructions. If antenna and rotator positions are accurate and both facing north
and the drive unit remains out of sync or is not tracking correctly, check that the
Country Power Mode setting is accurate for your country.
Drive Unit Does Not Move When Control Box Indicates Movement:
Check the wiring between the controller and the drive unit.
Drive Unit is Turning in the Wrong Direction:
This normally indicates that wiring is incorrect, check that wire #1 on the drive unit
goes to #1 on the control box and that wire #2 on drive unit goes to #2 on control
box, and wire #3 and drive unit goes to number #3 on control box.
Testing the System Prior to Installation:
Set the drive unit up on a table or work bench along with the control box.
Install a short section of rotator cable/wire (not more than 36”) between the
drive unit and control box. Once connected, check all functions of the control box.
If all functions work during the test, but not when installed, this indicates an issue
with the installation or wiring. This is an excellent way to familiarize yourself with
the functionality prior to permanent installation.
