~ Be careful not to damage the power cable:
– Keep the cable away from hot surfaces and sharp
edges.
– Ensure that the power cable is not trapped or
crushed.
– Do not wrap the power cable around the appliance.
The cable could break.
~ To pull the mains plug out of the wall socket, always pull
on the mains plug, and never on the power cable.
~ Even after it has been switched off, the appliance is not
completely disconnected from the mains. In order to
fully disconnect it, unplug the mains plug.
~ Ensure that the mains plug cannot be plugged in again
during cleaning.
~ Pull the mains plug out of the wall socket, …
– after every use,
– if there is a fault,
– when you are not using the appliance,
– before you clean the appliance and
– during thunderstorms.
~ In order to avoid any hazards, do not make modifica-
tions to the appliance.
~ Never attempt to remove dust or foreign objects from
inside the appliance (e.g. using a tail comb).
DANGER - Fire hazard
~ Never leave the appliance unattended while it is
switched on.
~ Never place the switched-on flat iron on top of tissue
paper, towels or similar; always place it on a firm, level
and heat-resistant surface.
~ Due to possible overheating and fire hazard, never place
towels or similar over the appliance!
~ Do not use the appliance in the vicinity of flammable
gases, e.g. the spray jet of hairspray.
DANGER! Risk of injury through burning
~ Do not touch the hot surfaces of the appliance.
~ Allow the appliance to cool down completely before
you transport or clean it.
