• Press the on/off switch on the appliance limb in order to
switch on the appliance.
– The display will light up.
– The selected temperature flashes briefly on the dis-
play.
– The display then shows the current temperature and
heats up.
– When the selected temperature has been reached, it
is lit continuously.
Automatic safety shut-off
If you do not press a button on the switched-on appliance
for approx. 60 minutes, it will switch itself off. This is a safe-
ty function.
Selecting the temperature
The appliance has a safety function to prevent accidental
adjustment of the temperature.
Approx. 5 seconds after the last touch of a button, the lock
symbol
appears on the display. When the symbol is lit,
the temperature cannot be changed.
1. Press the on/off switch briefly once. The lock symbol
disappears.
2. Touch the button + or - to adjust the temperature. You
change the temperature in intervals of 5 °C. The tem-
perature range extends from 80 to 220 °C.
The set temperature flashes for a few seconds. The cur-
rent temperature is then shown again. These alternate
until the set temperature has been reached.
Switching off
• To switch off, hold down the on/off switch until the dis-
play goes off.
3.5 The right temperature
WARNING!
~ Hair can be damaged by excessive temperature, exces-
sively long contact or too frequent straightening. Par-
ticularly at higher temperatures, you should not treat
the same strand of hair more than once.
