The servicing
of
windshield
wiper
motors
for
the
1956
cars
is essentially
the
same
as
outlined
in
the
D·15431 Service Manual.
NOTE:
Due to specially designed blades

be
used.
ELECTRIC WINDSHIELD WIPERS
There
are
three
component
parts
in
the
basic
Power Window
Lift
ci
rcuit:
a
circuit
breaker,
a
motor,
and
a
sw
itch.
The
relay
has
been elimi-
nate
d
and
the
switch now
carries
the
full
amper
-
age load of the motor, except on Convertible
and
Club Coupe
rear
quarter
windows which
st
ill
have a relay.
The
po\ver
seat
is
driven
by two
motors
which
are
localed
under
the
front
seat.
One motor is
used
for
vertical movement
and
the
other
for
horizontal movement.

SOUNOID
Power
window
and
power
seat
lift
circuits
are
protected by
circuit
breakers
which
are
lo-
cated behind
the
left
front
kick panel. One cir-
cu
it
breaker
controls
the
front
window circuit,
while the
other
controls
the
rear
window circuit.
Service procedUre
for
the
1956
Chrysler
power window
and
seat
lifts
remain
the
s
ame
as
outlined in
the
D-15431 Service Manual. 'The
shunt
mot
ors
have
been replaced by
seri
es
wound motors.
The
motor
s, however,
are
not
se
rviced except as a replacement item.
