vehicles assists you at low speeds when you are backing up your vehicle, or during parking
maneuvers, sensing objects up to six feet away. Four ultrasonic sensors are discreetly integrated into each of the front and rear bumpers of the vehicle, and serve to activate audible
warnings and a visual display in the Electronic Vehicle Information Center when the vehicle is close to encountering an object. The signals increase in intensity as the vehicle nears
the object.

This indispensable available asset provides a wide-angle view of the area immediately behind the vehicle, giving the driver greater peace of mind before reversing at low speeds. New grid
lines aid the driver when maneuvering into parking spaces or narrow areas, and also aid in lining up a trailer to the vehicle’s trailer hitch (when so equipped). The image is displayed on
the navigation screen when the transmission is shifted into Reverse.

This system anticipates situations when the driver may initiate an emergency brake stop. It uses the Electronic Stability Control

system to pump the brakes, setting the brake pads
closely against the brake rotors in order to decrease the time required for full brake application.
