(2) Install the TRS/manual shaft retaining screw
and torque to 5 N·m (45 in. lbs.) torque (Fig. 86).
(3) Install the manual shaft seal (Fig. 85).
(4) Install valve body to transaxle. Refer to Valve
Body Removal and Installation in this group.
INPUT SPEED SENSOR
CAUTION: When disconnecting speed sensor con-
nector, be sure that the weather seal does not fall
off or remain in the old sensor.
NOTE: The input speed sensor is not interchange-
able with the output speed sensor.
REMOVAL
(1) Disconnect the input speed sensor connector
(Fig. 87).
(2) Unscrew and remove the input speed sensor.
(3) Inpsect the speed sensor o-ring and replace if
necessary (Fig. 88).
INSTALLATION
(1) Verify o-ring is installed into position (Fig. 88).
(2) Install and tighten input speed sensor to 27
N·m (20 ft. lbs.) torque.
(3) Connect speed sensor connector (Fig. 87).
(4) Connect battery negative cable.
OUTPUT SPEED SENSOR
CAUTION: When disconnecting speed sensor con-
nector, be sure that the weather seal does not fall
off or remain in the old sensor.
NOTE: The output speed sensor is not interchange-
able with the input speed sensor.
