When you switch on the ignition,
the instrument panel displays :
- maintenance indicator,
- the engine oil level indicator,
- the total mileage recoder,
- then the trip mileage recoder.
Engine oil level indicator
When you switch on the ignition, the maintenance indicator is displayed for
a few seconds (see «Maintenance Indicator») then the engine oil level is
also displayed for a few seconds.
Note :
to make sure that the measurement is reliable, check the oil level
on horizontal ground, with the engine having been stopped for at least
15 minutes.
This display indicates normal operation.
A fl ashing of
«OIL»
indicates that the oil level is
below minimum.
Check with the manual dipstick. See «Levels».
If the low level is confi rmed, top the level up.

«OIL --»
indicates a problem with the
indicator. Contact a CITROËN dealer.
