Anti-theft indicator
The
red
Anti-Theft
Indicator
is
a
mean
of
pre-
venting
theft.
This
indicator
can
be
flashed
when
DCP
is
removed
from
the
unit.
* The factory setting is “OFF”.
1. Press ADJ button [1g].
2.
Select
left
or
right
to
until
“BLINK-LED”
is
dis-
played
using
a-selector
[2].
3. Select up or down to select “ON” or “OFF” us-
ing a-selector [2].
4. Press ADJ button [15] to return to the previous
display.
Dimmer function
This function dims the display illumination when
the
car’s
instrument
panel
illumination
is
turned
on or when inside the car gets dark at night.
* The dimmer level of the display illumination can
be set by “Setting the dimmer level’.
Each time you press No.1 of the Direct buttons [12]
while pressing and holding DISP button [6], the dim-
mer toggles between “AUTO”, “OFF” and “ON”.
* The factory setting is “AUTO”.
@AUTO:
The dimmer is turned on according to the bright-
ness inside the car.
@ON:
The dimmer is turned on when the car’s instru-
ment panel illumination is turned on.
@OFF:
The dimmer is turned off and the display is illu-
minated at the usual level.
* When the dimmer level is set to “ON”, connect the
illumination lead of the unit and that of the car.

Setting the dimmer level
The dimmer level of the display illumination can
be set.
* The dimmer level can be set from 1 to 5 and the
factory setting is 3.
1. Press ADJ button [13].
2. Select left or right to select until “DIMM LEVEL”
is displayed using a-selector [2].

3. Select up or down to set a level from 1 to 5
using a-selector [2].
4. Press ADJ button [15] to return to the previous
mode display.
Message display
When the player is powered on or off, a small dot
matrix readout (graphic indication) scrolls a
friendly salutation across the electronic bulletin
board. When you can enter the operation mode,
the operation status will be graphically displayed.
The user can turn this message function on and
off.
* The factory setting is “ON”.
* The message switches in random order.
1. Press ADJ button [15).
2. Select left or right to select until “MESSAGE”
is displayed using «-selector [2].
