• Always disconnect theappliance from thewall socket:
- if amalfunction occurs
- before cleaning
- if theappliance is not to be used for along time
- after each use
• Theelectrical socket to which theappliance is connected should be protected by anRCD
with atripping current of 30 mA.
• Place theappliance on afirm, flat and level surface. Never operate theappliance on asoft,
pliable surface such acushion or quilt.
• Fill the tank with water before plugging the appliance into an electrical socket.
Never place your hands into the water when the appliance is switched on.
• Make sure that thewater level in thetank does not exceed themaximum mark.
Items not suitable for ultrasonic cleaning
Soft jewellery such as pearls
or jewellery made of:
• Emerald
• Ivory
• Coral
• Agate
• Sea shells
These items are too soft and may scratch during cleaning.
Welded or plated metal items.
Glued items.
Ultrasonic cleaning may enlarge any gaps inside thejoints.
This can cause thejoints to fail and theitems to come apart.
Watches with lower water-
resistance ratings than
10 ATM/100 m.
• Remove thewatch strap from thewatch and wash thestrap in
thebasket if thewatch has alower rating than 10 ATM/100 m.
• In order to be able to use theincluded watch stand which
holds thewatch above thewater, thewatch casing must be
water resistant to at least 10 ATM/100 m.
• Theultrasonic waves might cause water to penetrate
thecasing of watches with lower water resistance despite
them being held above thesurface of thewater.
• Never immerse awatch in thewater tank of theappliance,
regardless of its water resistance rating.
• Make sure that theany buttons on thewatch are pushed in
and that all theseals are in good condition before placing
thewatch in theholder.
