If your COBHAM Transmitter is showing a 3-Flash error, it indicates a 406 MHz transmission problem. First, verify the coax cable and antenna are properly connected and in good condition. Perform a continuity check of the center conductor and shield to check for a shorted cable. Also, check for intermittent connections in the coax cable.

Why is my COBHAM C406-N showing a 2-Flash (long/short) error?

If your COBHAM Transmitter shows a 2-Flash (long/short) error, it could indicate a programming adapter problem. Ensure there's a jumper installed between Pin 3 and Pin 4 of the ELT plug; if not, install one or repair the connection. If a Programming Adapter (PA) is in use, it may need programming—refer to Appendix B for instructions. If the PA is used and there is a communications or wiring error, repair or replace the wiring as necessary.

How to fix a 1-Flash error on a COBHAM Transmitter?

If your COBHAM Transmitter is showing a 1-Flash error, it indicates a G-switch loop open (Pins 12 and 13). Check if the remote switch harness connector is loose or disconnected at the ELT and tighten it if necessary. Inspect the ELT connector pins for any bending or breakage, and repair or replace them as needed. Also, check the connector pins 12 and 13 jumper for any breaks internal to the remote switch harness connector at the ELT end, and repair any open jumpers.
