HANDBRAKE ADJUSTMENT
The handbrake pads are self-adjusting for wear. Should it become
necessary to
fit
new pads as described on page 31, adjustment for clearance
is automatically effected by applying the hand brake. It may be necessary
to slacken off the adjuster slightly to allow for the increased thickness with
the new pads. The handbrakc cable is preset before the car leayes the
works and should not require further adjustment when new pads are fitted.
