The Comfort Zone Personal Air Cooler is a compact and portable evaporative cooling device designed to reduce the air temperature around you, providing direct personal cooling rather than cooling an entire room. It utilizes evaporative cooling, a process that uses the evaporation of water to cool the air by approximately 5°F. This personal air cooler is intended for indoor residential and office use only, and it is crucial to follow all safety instructions and recommendations outlined in the manual for proper and safe operation.

Function Description:

The Personal Air Cooler operates by drawing in warm air, passing it over a water-saturated sponge filter, and then releasing cooler, moisturized air. This evaporative process effectively lowers the ambient temperature in your immediate vicinity. The device offers three cooling levels, allowing you to adjust the intensity of the cooling effect to your preference. These levels are controlled via a push-button interface on the unit. The cooler can run for up to 5 hours on a single tank of water, providing extended cooling without frequent refills. It is versatile enough to be used with or without water, offering a fan-only mode when cooling is not desired or when the water tank is empty. The unit is designed to be placed near you so that the cool breeze blows directly on your person, maximizing its effectiveness for individual comfort.

Usage Features:

To operate the cooler, first ensure it is placed on a smooth, non-combustible, level surface in an upright position. Before filling the unit with water, it is essential to unplug the power adapter from both the wall and the unit to prevent any electrical hazards. The water tank cover can then be opened, and water can be slowly poured into the tank. The water level is at its maximum when the red position of the float bar is visible. If the sponge filter appears to have many impurities, it should be removed and rinsed off before filling. Always use two hands when carrying the unit, especially when it contains water, to prevent spills or damage.

The control panel features a POWER button and a SPEED button, along with LED indicator lights. To turn the unit ON, plug the power adapter into the back of the unit and the other end into a 100-240 Volt AC electrical outlet. Pressing the POWER button once will turn the unit ON, and it will begin operating at LOW speed. Pressing the POWER button again will turn the unit OFF. To adjust the fan speed, press the SPEED button. The speed will cycle through LOW, MID, and HIGH settings in a circular manner. The blue LED lights illuminate according to the selected speed: one light for LOW speed, two lights for MID speed, and three lights for HIGH speed. This intuitive control system allows for easy adjustment of the cooling intensity.

Maintenance Features:

Regular care and maintenance are crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of your Personal Air Cooler. Before any cleaning, always ensure the power cord is disconnected from the plug to prevent electric shock. The body of the cooler should be cleaned with a clean, damp cloth. It is important to avoid using harsh chemical or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the unit's surfaces. Crucially, never immerse the cooler or any of its wires in water. After cleaning, allow the cooler to dry completely before use or storage.

To prevent the growth of mold or bacteria, do not leave standing water in the unit for more than two days. If the cooler will be stored for a long period or will be inoperative, the water should be removed from the tray, and both the tray and the appliance should be completely dried. For more thorough cleaning, especially if the machine has been used for more than three months, a mixture of detergent and vinegar (at a 1:3 ratio with water) can be poured into the water tank. After allowing it to soak for 30 minutes, remove the rubber plug on the bottom of the unit to empty the contents. Rinse the unit again with clean water, replace the rubber plug, and store the cooler in a dry and well-ventilated place.

For end-of-season care and storage, empty the water tank completely and clean all surfaces with a damp, soft cloth. Ensure the entire cooler is thoroughly dry before storing it in its original carton in a cool, dry, and clean location. Coil and tie the power cord to prevent damage during storage. Before using the cooler again in the next season, remember to clean and inspect it to ensure it is in good working condition. The cooler should not be serviced or repaired by anyone other than the manufacturer or authorized service/repair facilities. If the cooler malfunctions or is damaged in any way, it should not be operated.
