Usage Features:
- Power Source: Operates on both 12V and 24V DC power.
- Control Panel: Features Temperature Controls (UP/DOWN buttons), an LED Display, and a SET/ON/OFF SWITCH.
- Temperature Adjustment: Use the UP or DOWN buttons to set the desired temperature. The display can switch between °C and °F by pressing the "SET" button.
- Operating Modes:
- Economic Mode (ECO): Activated by pressing the "SET" button (green LED indicator). Runs the compressor at a lower speed to save power.
- Maximum Mode (MAX/HH): Activated by pressing the "SET" button again (red LED indicator). Runs the compressor at a higher speed for faster cooling, useful in ambient temperatures over 30°C or when quick cooling is needed.
- Battery Protection: A switch next to the DC power socket allows selection of Low, Med, or High battery protection levels, preventing excessive discharge of the vehicle's battery.
- Ventilation: Requires good ventilation, with at least 100mm of space around all sides, especially the back.
- Placement: Recommended to operate on a flat surface, but can function at angles up to 30°.
- Power Interruption: If power is cut off, the unit will automatically switch off and then switch back on when power is restored.
- Accessories (available separately): Protective Transit Bag, AC110V-240V to DC 12V Power Adaptor.
Maintenance Features:
- Cleaning: Clean the appliance inside and out weekly with a clean damp cloth. For dirt, use sodium bicarbonate dissolved in lukewarm water.
- Drying: After cleaning, wipe out with a clean damp cloth and dry carefully.
- Avoid Abrasives: Do not use abrasive products, detergents, or soap.
- Water Exposure: Never clean the unit under running water or in a dishwasher. Do not operate if wet.
- Sharp Objects: Avoid using sharp objects during cleaning to prevent damage.
- Storage: If not in use, wipe the inside dry and close the lid. Do not store products inside the unit when it is off.
- Defrosting: If a large amount of frost builds up, turn the unit off to allow it to melt, then wipe out the water.
Troubleshooting and Error Protection:
The manual provides a troubleshooting guide for common issues like the unit not turning on or low refrigeration performance. It also details an error protection function with specific error codes (ER0, ER1, ER2, ER3, ER4, ER5, ER9) displayed on the LED, indicating compressor malfunctions or temperature sensor failures. Solutions for each error code are provided, such as changing the temperature sensor line, checking the battery, changing the fan, or restarting the unit after a power interruption. If issues persist, users are advised to contact Costway.
Safety Instructions:
- Do not use if cabling is damaged, frayed, or has exposed wiring.
- Do not attempt to operate if the unit is wet.
- Ensure the circuit used in a vehicle is fused (recommended 15 Amp for 12V DC, 7.5 Amp for 24V DC).
- Verify voltage compatibility with the socket and cable.
- Do not place electrical devices inside the refrigerator.
- To avoid suffocation, do not allow children/babies to play in or around the fridge/freezer.
Disposal Guidelines:
The product should not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste. Separate collection facilities should be used for electrical appliances to prevent hazardous substances from leaking into the environment and food chain. Local government should be contacted for information on available collection systems.
