This document is a user manual for the COSTWAY Kids Ride On Forklift, model TQ10035. It provides instructions for assembly, usage, maintenance, and safety warnings.
Function Description
The COSTWAY Kids Ride On Forklift is a ride-on toy designed for children, mimicking the appearance and some functions of a real forklift. It allows children to drive the vehicle and operate a front fork lifting mechanism. The toy can be controlled by the child directly or via a remote control operated by an adult. It features various controls for movement, speed, and light.

Usage Features
The ride-on forklift offers several features for an engaging play experience:
- Direct Control: Children can operate the forklift using controls on the vehicle itself, including a light switch, motion swing (or high/low speed), and forward/backward movement.
- Remote Control: An adult can control the forklift remotely, which is particularly useful for younger children or for safety supervision. The remote control includes buttons for music, horn, speed adjustment (low, medium, high), brake, forward, backward, non-functional buttons, and status light indicators.
- Front Fork Lifting Assembly: The toy includes a functional front fork that can be moved downward, left, and right, allowing children to simulate lifting and transporting light objects.
- One-Click Start: Simplifies the starting process for children.
- MP3/MP4 Matching: Suggests compatibility for connecting external audio devices, enhancing the play experience with music or other sounds.
- Speed Settings: The remote control allows for adjusting the vehicle's speed to low, medium, or high, providing flexibility based on the child's skill level and safety requirements.
- Battery Indicator: The remote control's status lights indicate the vehicle's speed and can also signal when the remote control battery is low.
Maintenance Features
Proper maintenance is crucial for the longevity and safe operation of the forklift:
- Pre-Use Inspection: Before each use, parents should check the main parts, batteries, charger, wires, plugs, shells, and screws for any damage or looseness. Any damage found requires immediate repair before use.
- Lubrication: After a period of use, iron parts of the vehicle should be lubricated with a small amount of oil to prevent wear and rust.
- Storage: The vehicle should be stored away from fire sources and direct, long-term sunlight. In wet weather, it should be parked indoors or covered with waterproof cloth. It should be stored upward and horizontally. Keep away from hot objects to prevent plastic parts from melting.
- Charging: Charging must be performed by adults. The battery should be charged for 8-12 hours when the vehicle's speed becomes slow, but not exceeding 20 hours. For long-term storage, the battery should be fully charged, the red main line pulled out, and charged once a month to prolong battery life.
- Cleaning: Use a dry, soft cloth or non-wax furniture polish to clean plastic parts. Avoid chemical solvents, soap, water, or driving in rainy/snowy weather, as water can damage the motor, circuit system, and battery.
- Power Off: Always turn off the power supply and all switches to the "stop" or "off" position when not in use or during storage.
- Fuse Replacement: If necessary, the self-reset fuse (10A or 13A) can be replaced by opening the seat and replacing the fuse. The product uses a recoverable over-current fuse that automatically cuts off power if the current is too high and restores it in 5-10 seconds.
- Battery Handling:
- Only use the specified charger and battery.
- Do not mix old and new batteries or different types.
- Battery terminals should not be short-circuited.
- Do not turn on the battery and charger simultaneously.
- Do not turn the battery upside down.
- Rechargeable batteries must be charged under adult supervision; non-rechargeable batteries cannot be charged.
- Exhausted batteries must be removed from the toy and handled properly by adults; do not discard them.
- For long-term storage, remove the battery from the toy.
- Ensure correct polarity when inserting batteries.
- Structural Integrity: Do not use fuses that do not conform to specifications. Do not change the structure or circuit system without authorization; maintenance should be carried out by professionals.
- Safety Precautions: The remote control is for guardian use only and should not be touched by children. Read the manual carefully before operating the remote control. Avoid driving the vehicle on motor vehicle roads, near water sources, obstacles, steep inclines, steps, or swimming pools. The remote controller should not be soaked in rain.
