Stealth V Quick Start Guide
POWER ON
Press and hold the power button at least 3 seconds then
release. LEDs will flash in sequence, display current state,
and then turn off after a short period.
POWER OFF
Press and hold the power button at least 5 seconds then
release. The LEDs will cycle through a sequence and then
turn off.
CHARGING
Turn the tracking device off by holding down the power
button for 5 seconds.
Open the charging port cover & attach the supplied
charger.
The red light will blink while charging & turn solid red
once charged.
Once fully charged, remove the charger, then screw the
charging port cover back on. DO NOT overtighten.
CHARGING NOTES
Always fully charge your device before deploying.
Charging time can take up to 12 hours if fully drained.
Once fully charged, power off, unplug and store until
needed.
Always charge on a fireproof surface under supervision.
Use only the supplied charger.
When not in use, battery should be recharged when it
drains to 50% capacity.
CHECK ON/OFF STATUS
To determine if the device is ON, tap (do not hold)
the power Button to view the LED’s.
BATTERY LEVEL
To check the battery level of your device, visit the
coverttrack.com website.
PLACEMENT
Typical placement is under the vehicle within 10” of one
side of the vehicle.
COVERAGE AREA
The tracking device must be within 4G coverage of
selected model (AT&T or Verizon) to function.

*If the device is powered off and the charge cable is disconnected, the Power LED will turn off.
WARNINGS
Contains strong magnets that may damage any LCD,
Mobile Device Screen, or Computer screen in close
proximity.
Always charge on a fireproof surface under supervision.
Only use the supplied charger.
Failure to secure the charging port cover may cause
damage to the unit!
Do not leave connected to the charger for longer than
24 hours.
When deploying the tracker, do not place the device
near or on fuel tank or fuel tank lines.
Do NOT place near any source of heat (ex: exhaust
system or engine compartment) as this may cause fire.
Failure to follow the instructions may result in fire,
personal injury and damage to property.

Overview

The CovertTrack Stealth V is a compact, magnetic GPS tracking device designed for covert surveillance and tracking by law enforcement. It features a robust design with strong magnets for secure attachment, primarily under vehicles.

Function Description:

The Stealth V is a real-time GPS tracker that utilizes both satellite and cellular networks to provide location data. It is intended for law enforcement tracking services under agreement with a law enforcement agency. The device is capable of transmitting location information via a low-power radio service (LPRS) in the 216 MHz band, which is authorized under 47 CFR part 95. This LPRS functionality allows for tracking without interfering with TV reception or Federal Government radar. The device's primary function is to provide location updates, which can be monitored via the coverttrack.com website.

Usage Features:

  • Power On/Off:
    • Power On: Press and hold the power button for at least 3 seconds, then release. LEDs will flash in sequence, display current state, and then turn off.
    • Power Off: Press and hold the power button for at least 5 seconds, then release. LEDs will cycle through a sequence and then turn off.
  • Status Check: To determine if the device is ON, tap (do not hold) the power button to view the LEDs.
  • LED Indicators:
    • Satellite LED: Flashing Blue (Acquiring Satellite Fix), Solid Blue (Satellite Fix Acquired).
    • Cell LED: Flashing Yellow (Cell Search for Network), Solid Yellow (Cell Network Registered).
    • Power LED (Charge Cable Connected): Flashing Red then OFF (Device Charging), Solid Red then OFF (Device Fully Charged).
    • Power LED (Charge Cable Disconnected, Powered Off): Solid Red Continuous (if device is powered off and charge cable is disconnected, the Power LED will turn off).
