The Netgear CM500 is a DOCSIS 3.0 device.
The highest service level is based on wired connectivity speeds.
After the cable modem is successfully registered on the network, the Power,
Upstream, Downstream, and Internet indicators illuminate continuously to
indicate that the cable modem is online and fully operational.
Back View
The Netgear CM500 has the following ports available on the back of the modem.
Power – Connect the supplied power cord to this port.
ETHERNET – Connects to the Ethernet cable.
Note: This is a LAN Gigabit Ethernet port.
RESET – Use this button in the unlikely event that you want to restore the
default factory settings. This button is recessed to prevent accidental resets of
your modem.
Cable / Internet – Connect your coaxial cable line to this port.
