The saw blade 10 is allowed to be installed with
teeth up - this may be required for specic kinds of
work
Support plate (see g. 2-4)
The support plate 1 facilitates work with the power
tools, it provides perpendicularity of the saw blade 10
towards the workpiece and also serves as sawing stop
allowing adapting to sawed material position
Facilitated by pivot xing, the support plate 1 au-
tomatically slopes depending on surface slope angle
(see g. 2).
To move the support plate 1 forward or backward,
do the following:
[CT15258]
Use Allen key 11 to loosen bolts 12 (see g. 3.1).
Set the support plate 1 into required position by
moving it forward or backward (see g. 3.2).
Use Allen key 11 to tighten bolts 12
[CT15133]
Turn the locking lever 5 as shown on gure 4.1.
Set the support plate 1 into required position by
moving it forward or backward (see g. 4.2).
Turn the locking lever 5 as shown on gure 4.3.
Initial operation of the power tools
Always use the correct supply voltage: the power sup-
ply voltage must match the information quoted on the
power tool identication plate.
Switching the power tool on / off
Short-term switching on / off
To switch on, press and hold on / off switch 8, to switch
off - release it
Long-term switching on / off
Switching on:
Push on / off switch 8 and lock it in the position with
lock-on button 9
Switching off:
Push and release on / off switch 8
Design features of the power tool
Stroke rate selection
Using the thumbwheel for stroke rate selection 7 one
may select the needed number of stroke of the saw
blade 10 (also when operating the power tool)
Push on / off switch 8 and lock it in the position with
lock-on button 9
By moving the thumbwheel for stroke rate
selection 7, select the needed number of stroke of the
saw blade 10
Following setting up the number of stroke rate of the
saw blade 10 it is recommended to make a test saw
cut using a spare piece of the blank part (made of the
same material as the part to be processed)
When operating your power tool at a low speed for a
long time, it has to be cooled down for 3 minutes To
do it, set a maximum stroke rate and leave your power
tool to run idle
Steeples regulation of a number of saw blade
strokes
Change of the number of strokes from 0
to maximum also depends from the force
applied on the switch 8A weak press
means a small number of strokes; this
allows turning on the power tool smoothly may be re-
quired for specic kinds of work.
Recommendations on the power tool
operation
Selecting the saw blade
Before starting the operation, please select the appro-
priate type of the saw blade 10 which should corre-
spond to the sawed material, sawing regime and the
quality of the edge of the saw cut The designation of
the saw blade is printed on the package; you may also
ask the salesperson
General guidelines for cutting
Before starting, use a sample work-
piece (made of the same material as the
workpiece to be processed) to perform
trial cutting in order to verify that saw
blade 10 has been properly selected and an appro-
priate speed has been set.
Make sure that the workpiece is tightly fastened and
that all of the metal pieces (nails, screw nails, etc)
have been removed from it
Turn the power tool on before the saw blade 10
comes in contact with the workpiece Do not use extra
force; the operation requires some time Extra force
will not speed up the operating process, but it will over-
load the power tool
When the teeth of the saw blade 10 are too large for
the workpiece (excessive vibration, splitting and chipping
of the processed surface will serve as a sign of the teeth
being too large), turn off the power tool immediately and
replace the saw blade 10 with the appropriate blade
If the saw blade 10 jams during the operation, turn
off the power tool immediately and try to expand the
saw cut, then carefully remove the saw blade 10 from
the saw cut Caution: do not try to remove the
jammed saw blade 10 by swinging it in the kerf
with the power tool switched on, for it may cause
breakdown of the saw blade 10 and injury.
After the cutting is nished, rst turn the power tool
off and then remove the saw blade 10 from the saw cut
When cutting certain materials (like met-
als), the saw blade 10 may heat up ex-
cessively, therefore it is recommended
to use cooling or lubricating substances
which are to be applied to the point where the saw
blade 10 comes in contact with the workpiece.
