PREPARATION
FOR
USE
2.1
UNPACKING
AND
INSPECTION
Whe~
unpacking
the
instrument,
inspect
the
shipping
container
and
the
instrument
for
shipping
damage.
Save
the
shipping
carton
and
packing
material
for
possible
future
use.
The
instrument
was
inspected,
given
final
operational
and
control
tests,
then
carefully
packaged
for
shipment,
and
operate
in
accordance
with
Section
3
of
this
manual.

damaged
in
transit,
notify
the
carrier
and
your
CT
Systems
Customer
Service
representative.
The
representative
will
immediately
arrange
for
replacement
or
repair
of
your
instrument
without
waiting
for
damage
claim

POWER
REQUIREMENTS
The
instrument
operation
is
selectable
for
100/120/220/240
VAC,
50/60
Hz
primary
power
sources.
The
three
conductor
power
cord
provides
a
ground
connection
when
it
is
connected
to
the
proper
outlet.
The
instrument
can
also
be
operated
from
11.8
VDC
to
15.2
VDC
or
with
an
.
optional
12
volt
rechargable
battery.
The
external
DC
source
should
be
connected
to
the
"EXT
+12
V
IN"
jack
on
the
rear
panel.
The
plug
(not
supplied
with
the
instrument>
should
be
a
Switchcraft
S-760
or
equivalent
with
the
negative
potential
on
the
sleeve
of
the
connector.

ENVIRONMENTAL
CONSIDERATIONS
The
instrument
comes
equipped
with
bottom
and
rear-panel
feet
(the
rear-panel
feet
also
serve
as
cord
wraps).
