5. Fill the differential gear case with the
recommended oil.
Be sure no foreign material enters the
differential gear case.
6. Install the differential gear oil filler bolt,
and then tighten it to the specified torque.
7. Check for oil leakage. If oil leakage is
found, check for the cause.
Coolant
The coolant level should be checked before
each ride.
Checking the coolant level
1. Place the vehicle on a level surface.
2. Open the hood. (See pages 8-78-8 for
hood opening and closing procedures.)
3. Check the coolant level in the coolant
reservoir when the engine is cold as the
coolant level varies with engine
temperature.
CAUTION:
Recommended oil:
SAE 80 API GL-5 Hypoid gear oil
Oil quantity:
0.34 qt (0.32 L)
Tightening torque:
Differential gear oil filler bolt:
17 ft·lbf (23Nm, 2.3m·kgf)
Tightening torque:
Differential gear oil drain bolt:
7.1 ft·lbf (9.8Nm, 0.98 m·kgf)
