• With the piston at Top Dead Center
(TDC), orient the timing marks on the Mechanical Compression Release gear to be parallel to the sealing sur- face of the cylinder head. Figure A.
• If the MCR bump is not visible as in
Figure B, the timing is 180 degrees off.
• The MCR bump should be visible as
in Figure C.
